RENOVATED LATRINE TOILET
Chimanimani is witnessing transformative community development, extending much appreciation to the EQuaLISED Project implemented by REPSSI with support from CBM-Global. At the heart of this progress is a deep commitment to disability inclusion, ensuring that no one and no place is left behind. During a recent stakeholder meeting and handover ceremony at Biriri Hospital in Ward 17, REPSSI officially unveiled a renovated, inclusive latrine toilet. Thus, a facility designed not only for persons with disabilities, but also for the patients, thereby promoting dignity and mental health for all. Speaking at the event, Mrs. Sibusisiwe B. Marinda of REPSSI emphasized that promoting dignity starts with basic but essential facilities like this toilet, while Caoimhe Hughes from CBM-Global extended gratitude for the inclusive design, community buy-in to the project and encouraged the Biriri community to identify other areas needing attention. Mr Utseya (Ward 17 Councilor) also publicly appreciated the great work done by REPSSI, noting that such developments strengthen the entire community.
