In our ongoing commitment to enhancing connectivity and safety across the district, Chimanimani Rural District Council has recently completed a series of targeted road network improvements. Key interventions include grading and drain opening along the Chakohwa Loop; drain construction and pothole patching on the Wengezi B/C road; and comprehensive works on the Nhedziwa B/C road, featuring spot gravelling, pothole patching, and motorised grading. Additionally, Hangani Road received extensive grading and clearing and the Hlabiso Access Road was upgraded with spot dumping and grading.

To ensure the well-being of our communities, Chimanimani RDC is committed to upholding and exceeding the minimum service delivery standards. Our ongoing road and drainage projects are designed to create safer, more reliable access for all residents while directly supporting local livelihoods. In line with the Roads Act [Chapter 13:18], we are focused on expanding and maintaining road network coverage, so every property is connected to approved and gazetted roads.
We are also working on the functionality of stormwater drainage to prevent blockages, flooding and eliminate waterlogging especially critical during this rainy season. By delivering on these standards, we not only enhance public safety and mobility but also strengthen community resilience and foster sustainable economic growth across Chimanimani. These efforts are a direct implementation of the National Development Strategy I (NDSI), contributing to its infrastructure and spatial development targets, and ensuring our district is aligned and prepared as we progress toward the next phase of national development.
